Packing Up The Studio - Securing the Kiln
I'm packing up my studio in Melbourne, Florida for the move to Bend, Oregon. I have a kiln, wheel, glazes, tools, and some chemicals. The biggest challenge was packing up my kiln for the move. We figured a crate was the best way to move it safely. I used packing peanuts for the inside, built a base with blocks to hold the kiln in place and added a piece of cardboard to keep the bricks from rubbing each other in transit. A box that we built was placed over top. I'll let you know how it does.
