Moving My Operations To Bend Oregon

April 4, 2017

My family and I have lived in Florida for 13 years.  We are from the west (Montana) and southwest (New Mexico) t originally and when my youngest son chose Oregon State for college, we decide to all move back to the western part of the US to be closer to family and friends.

Because I now own and operate Pottery By Yvonne, this was a consideration in choosing where we lived.  Also, having lived in the Pacific Northwest before, we wanted to be in a part of a state that had more sun.  After spending some time looking around, we settled on Tumalo Oregon, an unincorporated area just outside of Bend Oregon.  We found 5 acres with a log home, pole barn, and 3 acres under irrigation.  This seems like a piece of property that we could grow into.

The Pole Barn is pretty basic and will have to be modified for my studio.  It is 1200 square feet.  I figured we would have to insulate, sheetrock, do some wiring mods, and figure out how to heat it in the winter.  So here it is.  If you’d like to follow along as I get my studio up and running again, I'd love to have your company.
